I cut Ben's hair for the first time last night. It took every drop of control to keep myself from crying the whole time. He was blessedly asleep, and never uttered a peep. I think if he had gotten upset I'd be sitting in puddles. It looks pretty darn good if I do say so myself.

Joe & I went to see Matrix Revolutions on Sat. I really liked it - and like it more, the further away from it I get. I understand that they could not neatly tie up every single thing by the end of the movie, but initially it bothered me. Now that I have had a few days, I decided that I like it anyway. The Zion battle was awesome - the Smith battle seemed anticlimactic after that.

My mom watched Ben for us while we went. They actually had a GREAT time. No crying or anything for the whole 3 hours. We are hoping to do this on a more regular basis now that he us shown us he is ok with this. We may actually get to go out more often with out him. I still don't want to be gone for too long, but going out for dinner like adults once in a while would be nice.

Oh, and I am officially sick of having to figure out what to buy for gifts for people who have everything. You know the type. They have tons of money, buy themselves everything they want, and you, on a limited budget have to figure out something that they need/want and haven't figured out yet - because if they had they would have just bought it for themselves. I have a number of these on my christmas list this year, as always, and really just wish I had the balls to make them all macaroni art, and a card and call it a day.

Oh, and I love people who really do appreciate the thought, even if the gift isn't spot on. I spend hours, and days trying to think up the perfect gift for each and every person in my life - so when I do purchase them something it is with love and effort, even if I may not have gotten it just right. That is also why I include gift reciepts. Please don't be afraid to use them. I don't just blindly give cash or gift certificate either - when I do it is becuase I think that is what the person needs or wants. I personally love getting them, but that is just me. I have no space for clutter, and it is the only way I will spoil myself.

On another note entirely, and one a *special* few of you will get. Joe was helping me cook dinner last night and Ben starts whining and asking to be picked up:
B: whining
J: Ben, Frankie says relax
I almost pissed myself.

Ben pooped on his potty for the first time! Ok, so maybe this is not the most exciting thing for you to read about but I figured it is keeping with today's theme. We are now one step closer to him being potty trained *Yeah!*
